i remember when people fussed about obama not wearing a flag pin on his lapel. as i pointed out to my co-workers who mentioned it, 'i don't see one on you either'. that usually made the point and ended the discussion.
also see where some criticized obama for not holding his hand over his heart during the anthem-where it's actually not 'required' as it is during the pledge (you're
pledging allegiance, hence covering the heart). BUT, some of the same people critical of him are the same ones i see at football games here on friday night chatting away during the bands playing of the same anthem. drives me batty-along with the poorly done flag raising-another thing that sticks in my craw.
