It was indeed a good race for Desormeaux and in fact an absolutely textbook perfect Belmont Stakes ride on that type of horse. But make no mistake... any crap he took last year was 100% deserved, as it always is with him. He is a study in contrasts, equally capable of brilliance and unparalleled stupidity. And he reminds everyone of that on a regular basis.
