Now now, if that's your standard, you must really have heaps of respect for Real Quiet. Desormeaux does his best to press his horse at every other point but the finish line.
As for having the 'second best horse' I think we should take it literally. The filly and gelding aside, if you're talking horse as in "intact male," maybe he's saying he could've been 4th.
