Several people posted to let them know if I heard anything about my boy Presidental Cause and today I talked to Curt Ferguson.And unfortunatly it is bad news.....Prez' didnt make it. The injury to his seamoid was to bad.
What did make me feel alittle better was talking to Mr. Ferguson. He could not have been nicer about it, and didnt even think I was crazy for calling about a horse that I didnt own, never owned or seen!!! He kept me on the phone for over 15mins telling me what happened in the race and after. He even told me how he came to claim him and claim him back. He really was a nice guy about the whole thing. The one thing I found wierd was, when I called the racing sec. office at Turf Paradise, I didnt have the words out of my mouth before the guys says "Well would you like his number?"...I said "Sure, is this the number to the barn?" and the guy goes, "No, its his cell phone".....I was shocked that they would give out someones personal number like that. Not that I am not glad that I was able to get in touch with him so quickly, but I just found it alittle strange.
