I'm afraid Americans are more concerned with feelings than facts at this time. I also think we should not talk in billions or trillions anymore but keep it in the millions so people can understand. Kind of like putting calories and fat content on everything we eat so we know there's a lot of calories in ice cream etc.
AIG executives received 167 million in bonuses split 70 ways or roughly a $2.4 million average. AIG as a company recieved $180,000 million and gave Goldman Sachs 12,000 million. People can understand $2.40 v. $180,000.00 but not when you deal in billions and trilions. To me going after AIG execs is like going after a cab driver who got a fat tip after driving away from bank robbery and forgetting about the money that's gone and how it went missing.
