I agree. I had $win on TOFP and JoJo.
He went out in a stupid 1:08 for the 6f segment or 109.4 from the gate. He had Prado on his back and Quality Road at his neck!
He was "supposed to" (in my incorrect imagination) let Quality Road and whoever (NOTSP Tacorub etc..) burn themselves out and have a finesse ride carefully just off the pace. Quality Road ran back his maiden and ran a top class mile. QR was best regardless.

However I'm not convinced that TOFP is a good router. If he has an easy trip sure he could blow away a field at a shorter route of maybe 1 1/16th or something. It would be much much more interesting to see this horse rate and explode, than waste his energy early. Prado, even if he didn't have the best horse, at least screwed the form on this one and Alma D'oro. Dutrow needs to stop giving him horses.
