I would say over the past 10 years they have found 5 or 6 times when someone was trying to get credit using my name or my address etc...during that 10 year period I have refi, leased a car etc...never a problem. In fact, my own bank had to call me and specifically ask if I was applying for a refi - because I had a fraud alert on my account.
