GODOLPHIN'S US TEAM ON THE MOVE
Godolphin's US operation will move a total of 10 horses, including the unbeaten Discreet Cat, from their current base at Saratoga down to Belmont Park on Sunday morning, September 3.
The Saratoga meet saw Godolphin saddle four winners from 10 races, and included Discreet Cat's impressive 11-length victory in an allowance contest on August 25, and Ashkal Way's victory in the Grade Two Bernard Baruch Handicap Stakes the following day.
The journey from Saratoga to Belmont Park will take about three and a half hours by road and Richard Mettee of Godolphin is optimistic about the move.
He said: "Saratoga was a good meet for us, with Discreet Cat looking very impressive and Ashkal Way winning the Grade Two race, and all things considered we did well.
"We're looking forward to the last couple of months of the season over here. Horses train well down at Belmont as it's a big, wide track, and it's a great place to train from."
