I'm going to spend my Saturday afternoon at Aqueduct and the Magna 5 starts a few minutes after the Big A's finale.
Unless I change my mind in the next 18 and a half hours I'm going to make this play:
Leg A: There looks like there is a lot of speed which should set it up for a horse from off the pace. The two I prefer most are 8 Huge and 9 Strut The Canary
8,9
Leg B: 1 Starry Pursuit's only blemish from 6 races in a two turn route on turf when she had an outside post. She's coming off a long layoff and is back to a sprint. The works look solid. I'd love her if she did not draw the rail but as long as Albarado lets her run her race I think she'll run well. Foxy Danseur is my other choice. Her off the pace running style suits this race.
1,3
Leg C: I'm taking a stand here and will single Admirality. He showed some ability last year and went to the sidelines after chasing Mint Lane at Belmont. His return race was solid and I don't think sprinting 6 is his game yet he ran well. Now he stretches out to a flat mile and I believe he is well suited to run big here. The others in here do not impress me so 7 Admirality is my single
7
Leg D: I'm not a Golden Gates player so I'm hoping to get by this leg still intact. I'm putting 3 Flighty Girl, 4 Grey Lassie, and 10 Storm Queen.
3,4,10
Leg E: I like Hannah's Classy Boy because I think he will be lone speed. I love the sire. I think he is going to wire this field. I was listening to Steve's show this evening and Brad Free mentioned Deputy Flyer did not take to the track in his last race. His debut was perfect for a closing grass sprinter so I'm hoping he runs back to that race. After looking at this race closer I can't leave No Sweat off at big odds. Unusual Heat is an A+ grass sire and this gelding might be better sprinting on grass
1,4,8
If I'm correct this looks like a solid ticket. I might add a horse or two to this ticket after a final lookover of the races and some input from my handicapping friends.
Good Luck in your plays.
