I dunno, I guess I don't think it's as dire as you do. Clemens' only chance to play came behind a horrendous offensive line in '07, and he's played well at times (he won three of the four games that season), so I don't think he's totally useless. Ratty has looked good against nobody, but there's cause for optimism. Plus now with the cap opened up, there's a possibility to draft a QB and/or sign a Jeff Garcia type for this season.
