Are you like me, remembering the stories from the Black Stallion series as part of the romance of Hialeah? probably. i don't know how many times i read his books when i was younger, and it hasn't been that long since i re-read a couple of them. i need to hit ebay and get the rest....
i just think out of all the tracks that have had money pumped into them, hialeah deserved it the most. gulfstream hasn't been right since they re-worked the track configuration-most of all, i found it dammed depressing when i saw the pics of hiealeah recently, and saw all the grass growing on the main track.
