Have you ever thought about just betting to win? It seemed like you had a good grasp of the Mountain but left some money on the table.
If you would have used the 12 dollars to win tonight this is how you would have fared.
2)2-9 exacta paid 22.40 x 2 = 44.80- WIN 6.80 x 6 = 40.80
5)LOST
6)5-6 exacta pays 15.00 x 2 =30.00 WIN 2.80 x 6 =16.80
7)exacta loses 5 wins and pays WIN 6.00 x 6 =36.00
8)10-7 exacta pays 25.40 x 2 =50.80 WIN 7.00 x 6 = 42.00
9)exacta loses 3 wins and pays WIN 10.00 x 6 = 60.00

Total bet 72.00 exacta payoff 125.60 +53.60 Win Bets 195.60 +123.60

The only reason I mention this is that I usually (or at least used to) play the same way. Chasing exactas all night. I would rather chase a 30 dollar exacta with all kinds of combos and keys than just to make a straight win bet that would get me almost as close to the exacta payout (like in the 2nd and 8th race). Also if I had a dollar for everytime I had a 13.00 dollar horse on top and the rest of my exacta horses being up the track I would be a much richer man today. I know many times that you put your bets in ahead of time and don't see the races, so you can't adjust to the odds. But maybe it's something to take into account for the future and races you do see live. Reguardless nice job tonight and good luck in the future.
