3) A life sentence in solitary is a much more appropriate penalty and I can honestly say that god forbid I was in a position to have a say in sentencing, that is what I would request.

4) Without the need for appeals, millions and millions would be saved annually and would cover the extra facilities needed to house life without parole prisoners.
actually, i read not long ago that there is no evidence that an innocent man (in the u.s.) has been put to death.
of course, banning it outright would keep it that way.
