Everyone of the horses that year avoided him like the plague. He and Ghostzapper ran consistently the fastest numbers ever given out by Thorograph in the last 25 years.(the fastest number ever given to a losing horse was his race to Perfect Drift. A negative 5---you can thank Robby "6 wide" Albarado.) The great Bernardini hasn't run as fast nor has any older horse since those two were retired. None. Zero. |
I'm not sure it's fair to expect a 3 year year old, even of Bernardini's quality, to run as fast as a Mineshaft did at age 4........Nonetheless, thanks for taking up Mineshaft's cause for me. I can't believe how many doubters he has..........
