I could live with them just signing a right handed hitter to play against lefties like Emil Brown or Juan Rivera and playing them with Tatis and Beltran against lefties and have Church and Reed to mix in against righties. That seems more servicable than Jon Garland and Randy Wolf as 40% of your starting staff.

I wouldnt touch Burrell. His defense is awful and Mets pitchers need all the help they can get. Not to mention moving out of the philly bandbox cant help a one dimensional HR hitter. I believe Wolf is resigning with Houston. Garland is fine as a number 5 and a passable number 4. There simply isnt much there.
