I'm under no illusion that Bernardini is the next Bid or Big Red, but that's no knock on the horse. He's still a relative baby and he's shown potential for true greatness - that's what excites me. Isn't that why we watch horse races? This should be a fun thing, watching Bernardini go through his paces and possibly join the ranks of great horses. We don't get this caliber of horse very often- I'm going to enjoy it.

I will say that I think it's unfair for his races to be somewhat denigrated by having them called mere public workouts, as if he didn't put any effort into them. Bernardini is winning so easily because he's so good - he shouldn't be penalized for being incredibly talented.
