He is in the Clinton-mode of being fairly partisan and yet politically centrist at the same time. His experience in the White House and in Congress probably make him a good pick for the CoS job.
However, in 2007 Emanuel strongly advised the freshmen members of Congress to avoid going on the
Colbert Report because they were always made to look like such morons. As a big fan of that show, I was pissed.
