I may be giving them too much credit but coming up with McCain was a great strategy or stroke of luck. They knew it would be an uphill battle and with a Democratic Congress a nightmare even if he won. Let the Dems try to fix this mess and jump on ANYTHING that goes wrong with the Democratic majority in place. Hell if it was next year they could blame them for the Ray's bullpen.
