Seriously, I know it's terrifying and the waiting feels endless but as others have said there's a lot that can be done if it's caught in time. You did the right thing, having it checked, and your bravery and honesty equal your passion and your humor.
When it gets difficult try to remember that you're being thought of and that you have people in your life who care deeply for you, and many many people who will always be here to listen.
