If you had one at bat with runners in scoring position you can't tell me you would rather have Garvey up there than the head case. Torre is loving life right now as he realizes how lucky his is this year. He won't get it but Manny really is the MVP of the National League based on his impact of just 2 months.
As far as the Cubs.....
This game is so much about streaks and WHEN you get hot......timing is everything in baseball ......the Cubs are not the first team to dominate a regualr season only to be chilly for a couple games in the playoffs and be on the verge in a 3 out of 5 series. LA is hot now after sucking for the first 100 games. There is no shame here for the Cubs....they are getting beat by a better team playing better NOW. No team wants to play LA right now.
