I really can't believe that they lost 5 straight at home. But I woke up this morning after the euphoria passed and said damn, this isn't any fun, what do we do now? Both the Yanks and Sox have made the playoffs for so long that fans of either team have come to actually want to see the other team make the playoffs so that we could have a confrontation.
I'll actually root for the Red Sox to nab the wildcard spot. I know they won't beat the Yanks for the division but in looking at the schedule they have left its really not all that hard. What helps them is that Minn, Detroit, and Chi all play each other a whole LOTTA times in the last 6 weeks. If they split up their games and the Sox get hot they might be able to run down the wildcard spot.
