[quote=somerfrost]You taken a close look at some baseball players? For that matter, I suspect there are a couple nose tackles in football that I could still outrun...they were showing Warren Sapp last week on the sidelines without his pads and he was as big as the Goodyear Blimp! Is women's baskerball a sport? Lots of women playing there...all could handle anyone on this board. Of course they can't play in the NBA but the WNBA...is it a sport? Is woman's softball a sport? The women's semi-pro football leagues, wanta tell those girls they aren't playing a sport? Is horse racing a sport?[/QUOTE
Are you saying nose tackles in the NFL are not incredible atheltes? Do you realize what type of physical endurance it takes to play NFL football? Do you realize the amount of agility and strength it takes to play NFL football in any position besides kicker? Warren Sapp is an amazing athlete. He has to carry alot of weight because he is playing against people that would be able to push him around if he wasnt heavier. Yes, every NFL player is a far better athlete than John Daly would ever dream of being. Size is a big part of the game but the ability to MOVE the way they do while carrying that kind of weight is a testament to their athleticism.
Women's basketball IS a sport. It requires speed, quickness, and reflexes.
Womens softball IS a sport. Same reason.
Is horse racing? Yes, it is. The horses are the athletes.
How is anything you are saying disprove what i said? How is golf anymore of an athletic endeavor than archery?
