Golf is a game.....like bowling and billiards.
Well, Julie Krone competed rather successfully against men, beat them constantly in fact. Wie hasn't "beaten" the men, she qualified in a tourney. The other sports...well, they are one-on-one sports, you compete directly against another person(s)...golf, you are playing against the course. If it was match play against the best men, she'd not last long if at all. The best golfers, even Tiger, can have bad days...he missed the cut in the Open (obviously there was a reason) but he missed the cut! Wie drives over 300 yards, that means that physically she is on a man's level in golf, that's like a woman hitting Nolan Ryan's fastball over the center field fence...I bet if a woman comes along who can do that, she'd be playing in the majors! If a woman can fly down the lane and complete a 360 degree slam over Shaq, she'll be in the NBA! You are taking a single unbelievable talent...a freak of nature...and using her to discredit a sport, that's not fair! The average pro woman's golfer cannot compete against the men, and the average older pro goes on the senior tour...ever notice how they dominate there the first few years they are eligible?
