I believe Obama is the real deal, something that this cynic rarely feels about any politician. I think McCain might be pretty genuine, also. This liberal likes McCain in quite a few ways, but I think he'd be a lousy, maybe dangerous president. The pick of Sara Palin I find unsettling. In the Couric interview posted, she reminds me of times I went for a job interview that I was unqualified for. You tend to be real hesitant, repeat the few generalizations that you think you do know,etc.(Hey, I didn't need anyone to show me proof that Palin is an intellectual mediocrity

I was repulsed by Kerry and, to a lesser extent, Dukakis. When Bill Clinton first ran for president, I liked him the least of all the main primary contenders that started out that election cycle.
