As for a solution, neither McCain's or Obama's presence is going to make a hill of beans of difference in terms of the final result. This is basically a done deal anyway as everyone knows that this has to get done this weekend. period. end of story.
That is why this whole "im going to suspend my campaign" thing is so ridiculous.
As for a solution, the devil will surely be in the details. If there is a smart group regulating the assets that government will be buying, this will be a money making proposition for the taxpayer.

i wonder tho if it will get done this weekend...it's a huge bill, a huge buyout paid for with taxpayers money-something everyone in congress tends to forget. they're supposed to be the caretakers of our wealth, not just the spenders of it.
what would be a bigger tab? the buyout, or do nothing and see what happens when the dust settles if they don't do a buyout? no way of knowing the latter...til after the fact.
and i don't know that i've ever seen a money maker for the taxpayers, this will surely be a brand new thing for us. in business, we always try to stay ahead of the curve-why is washington unable to do that? probably explains why as low as bushs approval rating is, congress is even lower.
