I don't deny for a second that Dems engage in some less than truthful advertising...which is certainly politics.
Outright, blatant lying, which has become the order of the month for McCain and Palin, is something different...something that's not 'just' politics.
And it's not like Dems are notorious for this type of silly election trick the way Republicans are.
That, in itself, has nothing to do with solving the problem. But self-professed weak on the economy McCain (who a week ago said the fundamentals of the economy were strong, and is now saying he needs to suspend his campaign to fix them....) is not going to fix it. It's pure theater and grandstanding, which seems painfully obvious.
