More importantly, if the GOP weren't notorious for disingenuous, stupid trickery, then this might hold some water. But given the McCain campaign's penchant for outright lying in the last three weeks, it's pretty tough to give him the benefit of the doubt that he really is doing this for the well-being of the economy, and not of his own campaign (you know, the one that's in shambles and getting thrashed according to....well, everyone) considering that it's a trick right out of the typical GOP campaign playbook.

Well, if you are honest..you will say both sides have engaged in less than truthful ads and trickery - but that's politics as my left wing friend GBBob taught me.
But what does that have to do with trying to find a solution to a problem that the Nation faces - that by all measures is the worst we have faced in decades.
