So, by using this logic, maybe a guy like Dutrow, Amoss or Catalano  could have eeked out a few more wins with Drifty. We'll never know, but an intersting discussion nonetheless.

Good discussion, I was trying to think of a Top Handicap horse that ran from 2000 and beyond, that was trained by someone that would not be considered a good high % Trainer and I couldn't come up with one single horse. The closest was Jay Robbins for Tiznow I guess, that is the only possible exception I can come up with.
When you take that into account Perfect Drift didn't do so badly afterall.
