Another nice card today and it surprises me that while people lament the preponderance of conditioned claimers, turf sprints, and maiden sellers, that no one brings up how interesting many of these starter allowance races are on the grass. The 7th is an extremely interesting race with about 10 different horses who look like they can win.
FOREVER MY FRIEND is one worth watching in there as he had a bit of a troubled trip last time out. He was steadied hard by the "check master" Jorge Chavez then wound up out in the four path down the backstretch and was checked a bit again inside the 1/2 mile pole. He was shuffled back to last and wound up closing like a maniac down the middle of the course to lose the whole thing by one length. Presumably it's a jockey upgrade today to Kent D and the connections will guarantee he's a square price.
Good luck!
