You should check to see if UofL plays at home that weekend. If they do, you will not find a hotel close to the racetrack for very cheap. They do not play at home, try any hotel on Crittenden drive. There are about 4-5 hotels there for your choosing. Also check Southern Indiana as well. That is a real short drive to the track. There is also a Holiday Inn on 3rd and Broadway that isnt too bad.
