As a Jets fan BF (before Favre), I can tell you that Eric Mangini has done NOTHING yet to earn any accolades as a head coach. Last season especially, he and GM Tannembaum completely mis-read how god-awful the offensive line was (which they obviously have taken steps to fix), and not one guy on that team over-achieved. Hell, the only guy who earned his salary last season was the kicker, Nugent.
So he has much to prove this year.
