I agree with your point in comparing M.Ram to Lima though. LA has always embraced talented people who have indiosyncrasies... Without charisma though, you gradually become classified as "batsh^T crazy" even in this town. Again Sheff is a good example.
In retrospect, who would have thought that Gary Sheffield's Topps "future star" baseball card that had him with his 2 front teeth gold capped and inlaid with a "GS" would have foreshadowed his career.
