Same here, he gave her a dreadful ride throughout, but still thought she would pick up and outstay the fillies in front of her. Manning went for the move up the rail (anyone who has ridden around Goodwood before surely knows never to go for a rail run!) and I was gave up. Surprise surprise the gap shut in his face and he had to take a pull. He lost at least a length doing that and the fille was beaten a short head on the line. Disgraceful ride. If he hadn't have dropped his rein for a couple of strides that could have made the difference also.
Putting it in simple terms, Lush Lashes should have won by at least two lengths.
