Hit a ball to that guy and its an automatic out and when he has to cover 2nd on the double play he throws missiles to first after a clean turn. Looks like either Sheff or Matsui will make it back and thats curtains for everyone in postseason. The Yanks postseason line up will look like this
CF Damon
2B Jeter
RF Abreu
3B Arod
1B Giambi
DH Sheffield or Matsui
C Posada
2B Cano
LF Cabrera
Lots of luck beating that lineup. Thats a pitcher's worst nightmare, no matter how good they pitch. Can you imagine having to face Posada, Cano and Cabrera at the BOTTOM of the order? Man, thats just crazy. It still leaves Bernie Williams, and Craig Wilson to fill in or pinch hit and take the field if needed. I see no way how the Red Sox are gonna run them down, it would take a real collapse by the Yanks and I just can't see it with that much talent.

I'm no huge Yankee fan but my wife is from the University/Fordham area of the Bronx so I follow and somehow their pitching is better than expected lately:
Mussina. Very solid. Still a top 10 AL pitcher
Johnson: Winning somehow. Guy does know how to pitch.
Wright: Biggest plus lately. 1 bad game in 5 weeks.
Wang: Wango got bango-ed against LA but he's been solid
Lidle: Not bad for the back end.
Ponson: Ugh. You see El Sid, it's not good news.
And Rivera.
It's enough as long as Wright, and Wang keep going good. I think you can count on Johnson and, especially, Mussina.
