i have yet to find any attribute of Obamas that would indicate to me that he should be president.

it was open season on Kerry and his military service and for good reason. he was over there like one year, embellished his record, and then once he came home he ripped to shreds the military and those he served with.
john kerry volunteered for the navy and then subsequently volunteered for service on a swift boat. t. boone pickens, who financed swift boat veterans for truth, never served. he joins dick cheney, don rumsfeld, and any number of bush administration officials with that distinction. bush himself, of course, served stateside.

i find the twists and turns of logic in support of partisan politics sickening. what kerry did after his service isn't relevant to what he did in vietnam. the partisan attack on a decorated veteran questioning his service should have made any decent person vomit.

and where were all the republican mccain defenders in 2000 when he was smeared by the bush campaign in s carolina? he was unquestionably the better qualified candidate then.

how about we start honoring service in fact and not just when it serves our partisan purpose?
