It would not be as easy for Phelps to be as fast in his best events because he is a middle distance swimmer. Comparing the two is apples and oranges.

The men haven't dominated since 2004. The australians and the frenchman have passed us by. You would know that if you kept up with swimming outside of local uss meets.
