Not only is he a horse who notoriously ran poorly off layoffs, he's running at a distance where he was never successful, he has no chance to get the lead, has the rail and only has three spread out workouts over a seven week period. Along that line, I want no part of MAD BOB CAT who is almost certainly going to be short off the long layoff and one work. This very clearly seems like a tune-up for a restricted N2X for NY breds.
As far as the Jerkens horse I see that as a race that's easy to overthink. J. Jerkens is having a terrific meet and his horses move up A TON 2nd time out.
