it's somewhat gratifying to me, since i don't think he's all that and a bag of potato chips anyway. he's just miles the best because he's the only halfway decent horse out there-much like the one who finished last at belmont today.
i'd imagine it's something besides just the weight. maybe curlin isn't quite 'there' yet, and they don't want to say he's not 100%. but how often is a horse absolutely perfect?
