Look, I get ripped on all the time here because people assume that since I write for the Derby site, that I think I am the world's greatest handicapper or racing writer. I have claimed neither, because obviously neither is true. And when this becomes clear in my posts, people feel it's their job to "put me in my place." And that's fine. I don't care at all. The day I get upset about what some douche who has never met me says about me is the day I put a bullet in my head. But at the same time, I'm going to defend myself when people get unfairly personal.
The best way to spot people who take themselves too seriously is to see how they respond to people who DON'T take themselves seriously at all. And on this board, there are about 5 people who know there stuff (I'm not one of them) and a whole lot of people who know about 1/5th of what they think they know, and who take themselves and their opinions way, way too seriously.

Call the ****in' whaambulance, bro!
It's impossible to argue with someone like you, because you ignore valid points and arguments, and almost immediately resort to calling names.
I don't take myself, nor you seriously, hence me not comprising long-winded posts and resorting to name calling with you. Seems to me that the dude who writes paragraph after paragraph and is constantly calling people idiots or morons is more likely to be the one taking things too seriously.
You annoy me a lot of times, but I don't hate you or anything.
