We don't know if there's something wrong with the horse or not. He may have a physical issue. Todd isn't going to tell you if the horse has a tendon, a suspensory, or a bad knee. Most of these trainers keep their mouths shut when it come to these kinds of things. They will only tell you about an injury if they're going to lay the horse up. If a trainer is going to run a horse with an injury, it is not often that they will tell you about it. The reason is because they will get too much grief if the horse runs bad or if the horse gets hurt.
