Kentucky stable fire claims lives of 11 horses
by Racing Post staff
A FIRE in the early hours of Saturday morning at a Kentucky stable owned by Nownownow's owner Fabien Ouaki has claimed the lives of 11 horses.
The identities of the horses killed have yet to be released pending an investigation to determine the cause of the fire at barn at Ouaki's 130-acre Fab Oak Stable near Versailles, Kentucky.
Paris-based Ouaki is best known for his relationship with trainer Patrick Biancone, who trained Nownownow for Fab Oak before he won the inaugural Breeders' Juvenile Turf in the name ofassistant Francois
Parisel, owing to Biancone's cobra-venom ban.
Nownownow has been transferred to David Wachman's stable in Ireland, where he is being prepared for the Stan James 2,000 Guineas.
