I think Doc's point is more technical..and I'm far from a Dr, but the word cure and treatment, medically, would seem to imply a permanent solution that rids the patient of their ailment..ie..You have a cold, you take meds and you are cured. You can treat alcholism or the person can try and cure it through AA, etc, but it is never permanently disabled..it's always there waiting to go off again.
Now Doc..you can tell us what you really meant
