Strong Contender's only stakes win came over Doc Cheney ... a horse who struggles to finish on the board in allowance races ...

... and Bluegrass Cat couldn't crack 1:49 for 9f ... 2:02 for 10f ... or 2:28 for 12f.

And one of these horses may win a million dollar purse?
