Curlin should throw 7f to 12f horses, for all surfaces. Being by Smart Strike, he should really take to the lawn if he ever got the opportunity.
I don't want to compare him to More than Ready because they are obviously way different, but More then Ready's offspring do real well on the lawn, yet he never touched a foot on it, to my memory...

If I was Jess Jackson I would map out a campaign that included a G1 turf race, like the Arlington million. Then win the the BCC on the synthetic, that would make him a G1 winner on all 3 types of surfaces. Most importantly, he would be the only stallion in the world, to my knowledge, to accomplish that feat. That would be a hell of a marketing tool.
