This seaon Giocomo would be a standout! (Scary stuff!)
The point is that in a chaotic season, made more so by the "synthetic factor" it may be worth it to take a shot. The top 3 from the San Felipe were all stretchout sprinters. Col. John is bred to route but has not exactly been a monster.
It may not be about making Polonius a KY Derby winner but getting G1 3yo credentials into him. No matter what, the "turf 3yo divisions" may be nice for making money (Va Derby etc) but it's not where you make "credentials" for your 3yo.
