If you had told me that after Sheff went down after Matsui I would never have believed it was possible, never. Jeter is hitting .353 and unlike cro magnon man, he actually also turns gems in the field while the other guy is hanging on the bench with the waterboy.
Hes an awesome hitting specimen, and incredible in the clutch, but no way would I trade Jeters average and clutch hitting and fielding and base stealing for Ortiz, no way.
