The talk on the radio in NY was, that they would sign Samuel and then try to trade Sheppard to the Cardinals for Larry Fitzgerald.
Corners are very important, even with teams with good pass rushes. The Giants have an excellent pass rush, but there were games that they didn't even sniff the QB (including the playoff game against the Pack). There secondary really stepped it up big time in the playoffs. They shut down big recievers. Corey Webster was on the way out of town and managed to turn it around completely. Aaron Ross started off a bit slow, but he just got better and better as the season went on and he was playing hurt in the playoffs. Even Sam Madison who I thought sucked, played well (with exception of that stupid personal foul he took in the SB). Playing in argueably the best division (I am also a little biased being a Giants fan-but 3 of the 4 teams did make the playoffs) in the leauge that includes 2 teams with many offensive theats (Owens, Buress, Crayton etc...) If you are an Eagle fan you should be happy about getting a premiere player that is going to help you on defense and if they could somehow parlay that in to getting Fitzgerald it is a homerun. But he better work on his tackling because he is going to have to face Jacobs, Barber/Mcfadden (if they get him) and Portis each twice a season.
