He was the first voice I remember the most when I first started following racing in the mid 80's. Back in the days when you could only get the audio calls at OTB, Ross' voice stood out. He was as legendary to race calling like the "Scooter" Phil Rizzuto was to doing Yankee play-by-play. It's not gonna be the same when the "Flakes" open this spring without his great voice. RIP the "Voice" has been silenced.
