Like he didn't even run, and he threw up a 114. Unbelievable. GZ would need another 3 months off like he did between all his races. GZ was an unsound horse, this horse is anything but.

Bernardini was awesome, he has great action, and is definitely something special. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to take into consideration how the horse won the race, in this case it was loose on the lead on a track that played to speed, especially after the rain. He might be all that, but he's no lock vs older horses in the Breeders Cup. He's the best 3yo, but he still has to face older horses where he'll be looked in the eye the entire way and wont be able to just gallop our there. Flower Alley basically did the same thing last year, won by 5.5 w/ 112 beyer. GZ did have some soundness issues, but Frankel also gave him plenty of time to recover from those awesome efforts and his race in the Kings Bishop was just as impressive.
