Of course, they did run on turf the other day with those real interesting races, where just about the entire fields hadn't turfed before. I mean, there have been some very interesting races carded there.
Here's a suggestion: rip the grass out and don't offer turf racing. Will save alot of people alot of time.

Here's a suggestion: If you feel like you're wasting your time, don't cap the turf races.
It's been a consistent rainy mess in New Orleans lately, which should surprise just about nobody. It seems to be finally clearing up.
Fairgrounds has some excellent turf racing throughout their meet. This concept is like saying that they should just cancel all racing in New Orleans all the time because it might rain-- after all, cappers are wasting their time capping if the track turns out sloppy and they have to readjust and horsemen are wasting their time because their horses may or may not like the mud.
Do you get this indignant when the main track comes up wet?
